They are a healthy breed living up to 17 years of age, they also have great memories which makes them easy to train. They were mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records in 1960 as the rarest dog in the world but have since seen an increase in popularity.
86. Old English Sheepdog
Waiting patiently on the call from the GB rugby squad this cute Old English Sheepdog puppy will melt your heart. We are all familiar with this breed from the famous adverts and it is commonly known as the Dulux dog. Their distinctive long coat comes in various shades of grey with white and needs lots of grooming. This breed needs lots of exercise and is not for the more house-proud among us.
87. Rhodesian Ridgeback
These sleepy puppies have an unusual friend! Rhodesian Ridgebacks or African lion dogs as they are sometimes known are renowned for the ridge of hair that runs down their spine. These hounds can be stubborn and have an extremely high prey drive, to be expected considering they were bred to hunt large game and keep lions at bay. “Look I’ve caught a feather!” The adorable pup is a Kerry Blue Terrier a breed that are adept at hunting small game, rodents and birds. Relatively rare these days they are considered a vulnerable breed. They have a high maintenance which is considered hypoallergenic colours include black, slate blue, silver and blue, black and blue.
89. Irish Setter
Celebrating St Patrick’s day. This Irish Setter is one cute dog. Irish or Red Setters as they are commonly known are a member of the Gundog group and are energetic, playful and affectionate. They mature more slowly than other breeds and still have a puppy’s nature well into adulthood. They are the favoured dog of US presidents being owned by Harold Truman, Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.
90. Sealyham Terrier
Pretty in Pink this beautiful Sealyham Terrier pup is extremely photogenic and very rare, they are classified as a vulnerable national breed by the UK Kennel Club. Calm natured and friendly they are a Welsh breed. Small to medium sized terriers they make great family pets. A Sealyham named Charmin won Crufts in 2009.
91. Belgian Shepherd
This fabulous quintet of cute puppies are Belgian Shepherds and they come in 4 varieties. These are Groenendaels which are the long-haired and come in only one colour, black! The other 3 variations are similar but are fawn coloured. Similar to the German shepherd they are slightly smaller but like their larger cousins they are intelligent and have lightning fast reactions so lots of exercise and mental stimulation is a must.
All this posing for cute puppy images seems like hard work. This snoozy chap may pull at your heartstrings but he is, in fact, a Komondor one of the highest maintenance dogs around and definitely not for everyone. A giant herding breed they require lots of exercise and consistent training. Extremely powerful they could guard livestock against wolves and bears. Not for the house-proud, they drool, their distinctive dreadlocks can take up to 48 hours to dry and a damp Komondor smells, a lot!
93. Skye Terrier
Big ears are supposed to be a sign of intelligence in which case this pup must be very clever. Skye Terriers were bred in Scotland in the 16th Century they are affectionate, feisty and loyal. The most famous Skye Terrier ever was Greyfriars Bobby who allegedly spent 14 years watching over his master’s grave. Bobby’s collar remains in an Edinburgh museum and a life size statue of John Gray’s devoted companion can be found opposite the churchyard.
This sweet puppy wants someone to play and who could resist? Unfortunately, there aren’t many of these cute puppies. Otterhounds are extremely rare these days with only around 600 left throughout the world. A large, (males weigh up to 120lbs ) rough-coated hunting hound they have a nose that can track in water and muddy conditions for up to 72 hours.
95. Lagotto Romagnolo
Peek a Boo! This inquisitive little puppy is a Lagotto Romagnolo an Italian breed of retriever although they are now primarily used to search for truffles. They are a medium-sized dog with a thick wooly waterproof coat. They are a healthy breed living up to 16 years. Intelligent and loving their favourite pastime is digging so keep them away from the flower beds.
96. English Setter
This cute English Setter Puppy is enjoying a paddle. These elegant dogs are gentle with everyone both human and animal. They hate being left alone and are one of the breeds prone to separation anxiety. There are 2 types, the field and the show type. Field dogs have less hair are slightly smaller and require much more exercise.
97. Clumber Spaniel
Can a pup ever have too many balls? This Clumber Spaniel dog obviously thinks not. The largest of the spaniels Clumbers are heavy dogs. Friendly with everyone this is not a good choice for a guard dog. Originating in the UK their name comes from Clumber Park in Nottingham where the 2nd Duke of Newcastle developed the breed.
98. Border Collie
This little lamb is getting a wash from this cute Border Collie Puppy. Border Collies are working dogs and require tons of exercise. They also hold the accolade of being the most intelligent breed so need lots of mental stimulation to keep them happy. Along with herding sheep, they excel at agility, flyball and make great search and rescue dogs.
This video shows a Borzoi puppy talking about how cute he is. Borzois are also known as Russian Wolfhounds. They look like a long-coated Greyhound and like the Greyhound they can reach speeds of 35-40 mph. They are an elegant, affectionate independent breed that is not often seen in the UK.

“Can I come in yet please?” Who could resist the cute puppy face? The Glen of Imaal Terrier is one of 4 Irish Terriers and like most of this group loves to chase dig and bark. His energy and intelligence needs to be constructively channeled and this little breed do well at obedience and agility.
101. Dogue de Bordeaux
Last but not least this pretty Dogue de Bordeaux puppy is perhaps the cutest of all. Dogue de Bordeaux’s are a large French mastiff. Their popularity grew after one named Beasley appeared in the film Turner and Hooch alongside Tom Hanks. Not for everyone as they are a powerful breed and drool (a lot) The breed is devoted, calm and affectionate.
